Change to the terminus for bus route 405 - Ballybane

stylist bus shelter outside HP Galway new building
Bus √Čireann have announced that from Sunday 16 May 2016 the Route 405 - Ballybane bus will go right into Ballybrit Business Park / Ballybrit Industrial estate, instead of ending at the entrance to the estate.

The new bus terminal will be outside the Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE - previously  HP, Compaq, Digital) building in Ballybrit, where a bus-shelter is available.

Buses from the city will stop at the bus-stop at the entrance to the industrial estate on request.

  • The service still runs once every 20 minutes during the day and every 40 minutes in the evening, with departures from Eyre Square on the hour, at 20 past and 20 to the hour.
  • There are some small changes to the morning and evening bus departure times from Rahoon and Ballybane, to allow for the traffic conditions.

Route 405-Rahoon does not travel via Newcastle on Sundays any more:  This area is now covered by the enhanced route 404 service.

The Route 405 - Ballybane bus route map is available here.

At this time, there is no change to the existing HP factory bus which runs from Seacrest / Lower Knocknacarra to Ballybrit and return once daily.
