Consutlation about future way of deciding about public bus services

When the new bus routes for Galway city were announced in March 2012, it was noted that no public consultation was required to decide on the routes or services provided.

The National Transport Authority (NTA) is running a public consultation to "seek the views of the public and interested parties (including users of the public bus services) on the approach to be adopted in relation to new contracts for provision of public bus services" in 2014.

There is a consultation document, and a questionnaire to be completed by before 5pm on Wednesday 11 July 2012.

More details are available from their website.
