New 7-day bus between Galway and Ballina, Co Mayo

GoBus have announced that they will be running a new Regional Connect bus service between Ballina Co Mayo and Galway City, from 1 April 2019.

The buses used will be long-distance coaches with free WiFi and power sockets.


Timetable

There will be 5 buses in each direction, every day of the week.  

Route

Buses will stop at:
  • Ballina - Humbert St.
  • Foxford - Chapel Rd.
  • Ballyvary - Dublin Rd.
  • Castlebar - Steven Garvey Way (near Mayo University Hospital)
  • Balla - Main St.
  • Claremorris - Dalton St.
  • Ballindine - Main St bus stop 
  • Milltown - Main St bus stop 
  • Tuam - adjacent to Presentation College
  • Claregalway - Bus stop,
  • Carnmore - Airport bus stop
  • GMIT - Dublin Rd.
  • Galway city centre - Bóthar Brendan Ui hEithir
  • Galway City NUIG  / UHG - University Rd.

Note that the city-centre bus stop is up the road from the GoBus office:  this stop is not currently used by other regional buses.


Fares

On-line bookings are not yet available.   There is an introductory offer of just €5 per single fare, paid directly to the driver.
