Irish Rail

Thursday 22 and Friday 23 December

All services will run a normal weekday timetable in Galway.

Saturday 24 December

City Buses

• Bus Eireann will run a regular Saturday service in Galway City, except that the last bus on each route is between 7-8pm approx.
• CityDirect will run a regular Saturday service until 6:15pm, when the last 411 bus leaves Eyre Square.

Regional buses   

• Bus Eireann will run regular Saturday services until approx 9pm only
• Partial service from Burkes, BusLink:  Nitelink buses will not operate
• Regular service from:   CityLink, GoBus,  Bus Feda, Healys

Trains

• Trains will run normally until approx 9pm, when they will stop

Sunday 25 December - Christmas Day

• The 12:30am Citylink bus from Dublin Airport to Galway will operate
• All other services (city and regional) are cancelled.

Monday 26 December - St Steven's Day

City Buses

• Bus Eireann will run a regular Sunday service on all routes in Galway City
• CityDirect will run a Sunday / public holiday timetable 

Regional buses: 

• No service from Healy's (Loughrea), Bus Feda, 
• Very limited service from  Bus Eireann
• Limited service from  Burkes,
• Regular service from:   CityLink
• Slightly changed service from:   GoBus

Trains

• No trains will run

Tuesday 27 December

City buses

• Bus Eireann will run a regular Tuesday service in Galway City
• CityDirect will run a Sunday / public holiday timetable 

Regional buses   

• Bus Éireann will run a Sunday timetable on regional services
• Partial service from Healys (Loughrea),  Burkes, Bus Feda, 
• Regular service from:   CityLink
• Slightly changed service from:   GoBus

Trains

• Trains will run a normal weekday service, with some changes

Wednesday 28 December

City Buses

• Bus Eireann will run a regular weekday service in Galway City
• CityDirect will run a Saturday timetable 

Regional buses   

• Partial service from Healys (Loughrea),  Burkes,

• Slightly changed service from:   GoBus

Saturday 31 December - New Year's Eve

City Buses

• Bus Eireann will run a regular Saturday service in Galway City, until between 8-9pm
• CityDirect will run a regular Saturday timetable

Regional buses   

• Partial service from Burkes,
• Regular Saturday service from:   CityLink, Healy's (Loughrea), Bus Feda, 
• Slightly changed service from:   GoBus
• To be advised:   BusLink's service, including the status of the NightLink service

Trains

• Trains will run a normal Saturday timetable until approx 9pm, when they will stop

Sunday 1 January - New Year's Day

City Buses

• Bus Eireann will run a regular Sunday service in Galway City
• CityDirect will run a Sunday / public holiday timetable 

Regional buses   

• No service from Healys (Loughrea), 
• Partial service from Burkes, Bus Feda, 
• Regular service from:   CityLink
• Slightly changed service from:   GoBus
• Regular Sunday service with some alterations form Bus Eireann
• To be advised:   BusLink's service, including the status of the NightLink service

Trains

• Regular Saturday timetable with some changes

Monday 2 January - Day after New Year's   

City Buses

• Bus Eireann will run a regular Monday service in Galway City
• CityDirect will run a Sunday / public holiday timetable 

Regional buses   

• No service from Healys (Loughrea), 
• Partial service from Burkes,
• Regular service from:   CityLink, Bus Eireann
• Slightly changed service from:   GoBus, Bus Feda, 
• To be advised:   BusLink's service, including the status of the NightLink service

Trains

• Regular weekday timetable with some changes

Tuesday 3 January onwards

City buses

• Bus Eireann will run a regular weekday timetable
• CityDirect will run a Saturday timetable for the rest of this week, and return to regular weekday services from 9 January

Regional buses   

• Regular service from all regional bus companies

Trains

• Trains will run normally
