Bus Éireann tickets available on the Taxsaver on-line ordering site

From Wed 2 February, company administrators can purchase Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus tickets through the Taxsaver on-line ordering site.

This is in addition to the Irish Rail / Iarnród Éireann tickets that have been available this way for some time.

TaxSaver.ie have published a guide to the new site for employers.

Background:

Taxsaver is a scheme that allows companies to purchase monthly or annual public-transport tickets for their employees at a discount.  The arrangement is open to any public-transport company and employers that want to participate - not just the ones affiliated to taxsaver.ie - although much of the information on the website applies to the scheme as a whole.

In all cases:
  • ticket ordering is done by administrators from participating employers, and
  • ticket invoicing and distribution is done by participating public-transport companies
Individual employees / commuters cannot access the discounts themselves.
