Bus Eireann regional service changes, March 2013

Bus √Čireann have announced changes to their regional bus services, from Sunday 3 March 2013.

Affected routes

Route 417 - Galway - Corofin 

  • This service now runs between Galwyay and Corofin, and does not continue to Tuam.

Route 418 Galway - Athenry

Route 425, Galway - Mountbellew- Longford

  • Now runs Mon-Fri only
  • No longer stops at Four Roads (Coyles)
  • The Wednesday and Friday only buses between (Longford to Lanesboro, and Longford to Galway) are cancelled.
  • The Tuesday and Thurday only bus between Longford and Galway will travel via Turloughmore, not via Monivea.

Route 431 - Galway - Monivea - Mountbellew

  • Is renumbered route 425a.
  • No changes to the timetable.

Route 436c:  Galway - Carnmore Airport

  • Is cancelled.

  1. Time to carry on with further city routes changes. After upper Ballymoneen rd being widened it's time to extend 402 line to Sli Gheal estate. At least similar to old 34 line (once every 1 - 2 h). Not all of the time. Especially with new school in plan there. Since school is going to be opened - then 402 should be extended there for permanently. Next step is line from Knocknacarra to parkmore trough tuam road which would omit Eyre square.
